Dona Eventually Married His Heartthrob

Andy is a very handsome young man, who has a natural charm for women, as they pester him to enjoy his charisma. Some men don't chase women with money; the women naturally flood around them, just like they do in the case of Andy. That was the case with Teddy Pendergrass the late popular American musician; women abandoned their husbands and went after him, a sex symbol.

You might think Andy uses touch-and- follow to catch women. It's like a competition; every woman wants to associate with him.
Married men spend a lot of money in chasing ladies because, the ladies know they  have nothing to gain from the relationship, but bachelors don't spend as much because the relationship could end up well in holy matrimony.

Donatus is a very handsome young man. Since he was posted to that office, unmarried ladies have been fighting fervently to win his heart, but, he has maintained his stance by not given in to their whims and caprices, as  he has consistently maintained a relationship with only, his heart throb, Ngozi.

Just last week, a brutal  fight had broken out between Miss Ngozi Okonkwo and Ms Julie Ahamba. Ngozi Okonkwo has been getting along well with Donatus before Ms Julie came from nowhere to cause confusion, and destroy the relationship.

As the director in charge of the audit department, left the office to meet the permanent secretary, the ladies gathered for a gossip festival.

Adanma was eating groundnut and banana, when Julie came around and sat near her,as  she joined her in consuming the snacks after  which asiri began. The other ladies  quickly joined them, knowing it was going to be an  interesting asiri session.

"I prefer a young man who can diligently perform well in his duties," said Adanma.

"But, he  will beat the hell out of you," countered Julie,"at the slightest provocation."

"Not all young men are like that," said a voice. "Some young men are well groomed and responsible, but in every twelve, there must be a Judas."

"With time, they get mature, and become better husbands," said another lady.

"But if he sends you to your early grave..."

"...God forbid; if he becomes too violent, I will run for my dear life."

"If you have two, or three children, you might not find it easy to leave him. It is  the presence of children that strengthen most marriages."

"Many ladies have died in the hands of brutal husbands."

"So also have many men been killed by their devilish wives."

"Would you choose a rich man, or a poor man for a husband?"  Adanma threw the question open.

"I have already made my choice," asserted Ngozi." "If you marry a poor man, and go to deliver a baby without being prepared, the nurses will teach you a bitter lesson." " If you marry a rich man, he can kick you out of the house, and marry four more women at a go," said Adanma.

"Then the young men outside will have a field day, stealing his meat. When a lion makes a kill, the hyenas also enjoy her kill."

"Some men cannot fully fire one woman, think of a man having four, five wives."

"Some men marry  many women to show off their wealth. And the numerous wives have their enyinwoke outside, who give them obiuto."

The gist could have continued, but for the arrival of their director. As soon as they  saw him walking in, they ran helter- skelter to their various offices and pretended to be busy working.

"Hypocrists, he muttered; stop pretending. Come back, he said."I have a few questions for you."

The ladies began to return confidently,

"Welcome, sir. It is the Asiri Women  Association of Nigeria, doing their rehearsals," said Julie.

"Is it a registered association; an NGO, or what?" Chief Onuoha Ndimgba asked.

" None of the above, sir."

"All of the above, sir."

"Have you registered with the CAC?"

"Yes, sir. We have our certificate of incorporation intact," said Ms Julie.

"We shall be doing our debut performance when the governor visits our office next week. Gate fee: ₦5000 for VIP stand. Riff-raffs' stand is ₦200 only."

"Who are the riff-raffs?" asked Chief Onuoha Ndimgba.

"You... you... you..." said Adanma, pointing indiscriminately.

They all laughed.

"Have you elected your exco?"

"Yes sir."

"Hope one litigation or another does not destroy your association?"

"We are united, sir." " I trust women."

Two weeks ago, a sophisticated

lady visited the office to confront a lady who has been trying to break her home. Queen is a very,  unpopular lady in her office. Some workers see her as a go-getter, as she never misses any promotion in her office. She is very close to all the directors in the ministry, and is never satisfied with  one man.

Donatus has a personal interest in Ngozi Okonkwo, which has not been hidden from the public. When Miss Ngozi Okonkwo celebrated her last 24th birthday, not only did Donatus attend the ceremony, he also put his time and money in making the occasion a huge success, and so people came to the conclusion that something was in the offing.

Just like that, Ms Julie Ahamba came from nowhere to intrude. She started forcing herself on Donatus with the aim of dislodging Ngozi Okonkwo and taking over.

Donatus never reciprocated her gestures, but remained focused. When Ms Julie Ahamba saw she was getting nowhere, she developed an open hatred for Miss Ngozi, and antagonised her frequently.

Her birthday ceremony was well attended by her colleagues who lavished enormous gifts and love on her.

Ngozi is soft spoken and humble, and respects all who come her way. Her smiles endears her to all lovers of decency and decorum. Even  some decent mothers in the office had tried to connect her to their single sons, in a bid to make her their daughter-in-law, but she had plainly told them she was already committed.

The unprovoked attack on Ngozi Okonkwo brought to reality the desperate desire of Ms Julie Ahamba to dispossess her of her treasure.

Julie is in her late 40's, and rumour has it that she is a divorcee. She has three cars, which people believe she inherited from her previous husband, a wealthy businessman, who is believed to be a polygamist and a money bag.

Ms Julie Ahamba is also business inclined, as she travels to Dubai once in a while. When she returns, she presents expensive gifts to those in authority, and so she is always in the good books of the management.

As soon as Ngozi  Okonkwo was attacked by Ms Julie Ahamba,  her friends quickly whisked  her away  to protect her from any bodily harm, and Donatus  quietly looked the other way, showing manly wisdom and maturity

Ms Julie Ahamba has she never stopped presenting  expensive gifts to Donatus, which he has never accepted.

There was jubilation one morning when Donatus came to work, and distributed invitation cards for a wedding.

When Donatus gave Ms Julie Ahamba an invitation card, she became angry; threw away the card and walked away.

When she met Ngozi Okonkwo, she accused her of snatching her lover, and boldly told her that she has commissioned a potent dibia, to frustrate the marriage.

Friends encouraged Ngozi Okonkwo and promised her they would be praying for her to succeed in her matrimonial home.

"Go And Sin No More."

Nkechi and Ikechukwu wedded in a colourful wedding ceremony, that attracted the cream of society. The marriage was a one-in-town wedding, that attracted the high and mighty in the town, and beyond. There was money to spend, and Ikechukwu spent  it without hesitation. Every person who attended the wedding went home with a very precious gift--handbags, stoves, handsets, pots, gas cookers etc. After their third child, six years later, Ike's fortune nose-dived to an abysmal low, and he lost his wealth, and began to beg bread. As a motor parts dealer, he was well-connected, and imported his goods from abroad. His friends were notable millionaires, known in Nigeria and beyond. The dwindling economic fortunes of Nigeria affected his business adversely, but what destroyed him completely was the emergency of a greedy governor, who pulled down many houses in the state capital, and sent many hardworking people to their early graves, and before he vacated the office, imposed an imbecile ...

Not God's Will For Us To Marry

The next academic year began in September, after the long vacation. I was still savouring the visit of Adeze as we resumed for the new session. I proudly told Nkechi that  my girlfriend visited me at Aba. When you eat an appetising food, you don't easily let the memory go away quickly. Nkechi did not enjoy the gist, but told me she loved me. I was surprised because she had a fiance. We became closer as the memory of Adeze soon evaporated, and she never visited again. There were no distractions, and so we gradually grew intimate. One thing led to another, and Nkechi called off her engagement with her lover, Mike. Nkechi is reserved and loved me whole heartedly, to the extent she tells me the ugly encounters she had occasionally with men.  When the then old Imo State government threatened to sack auxiliary teachers, I was forced to do my PGDE at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In my absence , a medical doctor, her town's man, came around to sleep with her, but she rebuff...

Chinyere Swallowed Her Pride, And Begged Aham For Reconciliation

When Okezie was newly transferred to  Saint Theresa Academy, every body saw him as a saint, not knowing he was a serpent in a green grass. He was suave and handsome, and feigned been born-again, but ironically, refused all entreaties  to join the staff fellowship. Soon, his true colour appeared, as he was an unredeemable womanizer. He soon began sampling the female teachers, one by one, both married and single, until his unholy assignment was completed. Some of the female teachers, even fought one another, in a bid to have absolute dominion. But the fool was betrothed to one beautiful sister whom everybody cherished and admired. You would have wished the beautiful angel was either married to your son, or brother. After Okezie had done the traditional marriage, he had continued his escapades until the girl discovered he was not interested in getting married any soon.  His in-laws asked him to complete the marriage ritual, so that he could take home his bride, but th...
